Black Version
The first "Black Version" toy was the Chogokin GA-09 Raideen Super Metal Black version - designed as a premium for collectors in 1978. That toy began the "Black Version" tradition that continues to this day. These items are usually limited run or convention exclusives. While they are neat for the completist collector, their true purpose is to squeeze a bit more life out of the costly toy molds.
